The styling came into my life as a complement to the graphic work developed for Chicama Surfwear. Like the graphic contents, the clothing cut is also important. It was the reason that led me to research and find new ways to do clothing, the choice of fabrics and details design for a piece are always a good challenging. \\

Madié da Praia (no translation) its a character of Peniche town, who during the comics episodes interacts with other local characters (cartoons). He is the character of a local surfer, who has a very particular vision of things.The main goal of this "work" is to alert and play in an ironic way about the real problems at Peniche council.
This work already won a special emphasis at Peniche Surf News website - the most accessed news website at Peniche.

I accepted the challenge to draw some comics about Peniche daily life and problems, and it´s getting really nice. Why Leilani? humm, i just love the name.. maybe in a previous life i was a hawaiian surfer queen, named like that. \\

The Children of the Sea are a familiar project, involving 3 generations.
Since i remember, my aunt and cousin sew dolls, and other seam projects.
Together we reinvented a tradicional knowledge, and developed a new doll resulting to passion of sea and surf.
